SPECIAL EVENT SECURITY OFFICER - LARGE CONVENTION CENTER
Reliance Security Services is seeking experienced and professional Event Security Officers to join our team providing security services at a major convention center and large-scale events. These positions are designed for security professionals who are comfortable operating in large venues, massive crowds, and complex, team-based security operations . Candidates should understand the pace, communication requirements, and situational awareness necessary to work major conventions, expos, concerts, festivals, sporting events, and other high-attendance events.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are specifically seeking experienced event-security professionals who have demonstrated the ability to work effectively in large-scale environments.
The ideal candidate has experience:
Working security at large convention centers, arenas, stadiums, concert venues, festivals, or major public events Working as part of large security teams with multiple officers, supervisors, venue personnel, and event staff Operating effectively around massive crowds and high volumes of attendees Managing pedestrian movement and assisting with crowd control Performing access control, credential verification, perimeter security, and restricted-area enforcement Maintaining situational awareness in crowded, fast-moving environments Responding professionally to disturbances, emergencies, medical incidents, and other unexpected situations Using radios and established communication protocols effectively Following instructions and operating within a clearly established chain of command Coordinating with supervisors, venue management, event organizers, law enforcement, fire/EMS, and other security personnel Remaining professional and attentive during long and demanding event shifts Completing accurate incident reports and required documentation
MASS-CROWD & LARGE-TEAM EXPERIENCE
Experience working large crowds and large security teams is strongly preferred. This is not a typical single-post security position. Officers may be assigned to operations involving large numbers of security personnel and thousands of event attendees . Successful officers must be able to communicate, coordinate, and operate as part of a unified security operation. You should be comfortable receiving assignments from supervisors, moving between operational areas when directed, responding to changing event conditions, and maintaining professionalism even when dealing with significant crowds or challenging situations. Experience at major conventions, trade shows, expos, concerts, festivals, sporting events, large public gatherings, or major entertainment venues is highly desirable.
FIRST AID / CPR / BLS
Candidates with current emergency medical-response training are strongly preferred , including: American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) American Red Cross First Aid/CPR TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) PC 832 California Basic POST Certification California Public Safety Dispatchers' Basic Course These certifications are preferred because event-security personnel may be among the first security team members to encounter a medical emergency or other situation requiring an immediate response while professional medical personnel are being contacted.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid California BSIS Guard Card Previous security experience required Ability to use a hand held radio Large-event or convention-center security experience strongly preferred Demonstrated experience working as part of large security teams Experience working around large or massive crowds preferred Current First Aid/CPR or BLS certification preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Ability to follow instructions and operate effectively within a structured chain of command
