Overview Join our dynamic team as an Event Security Guard or Supervisor, where your expertise in live event security will ensure a safe, secure, and enjoyable experience for all attendees. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for security and a background in live event environments. You will be responsible for maintaining safety protocols, managing access points, and responding swiftly to incidents, all while providing exceptional customer service. Your experience with surveillance systems, law enforcement procedures, and emergency response will be vital in creating a secure atmosphere that allows events to run smoothly and attendees to enjoy themselves confidently. Responsibilities Monitor event premises using CCTV surveillance and perform regular patrols to identify potential security risks or breaches. Control access points through verification of tickets, IDs, or credentials, ensuring only authorized individuals enter designated areas. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by executing established emergency response procedures, including first aid and CPR when necessary. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy occurrences during events. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully and maintain a positive environment for guests and staff. Conduct background checks on staff or vendors as required to uphold safety standards. Operate access control systems and perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when setting up or dismantling security equipment. Qualifications Proven experience in live event security or related fields such as law enforcement, military, or private security firms. Knowledge of surveillance equipment including CCTV systems and access control technology. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are highly desirable. Ability to perform physical security duties such as patrolling large venues and handling manual tasks like heavy lifting. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Familiarity with incident report writing and compliance with security regulations is essential. $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
