The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain a professional presence while protecting the client, employees, customers, and property. Job Responsibilities Provide a visible armed security presence throughout the assigned property. Conduct interior and exterior foot patrols. Conduct armed vehicle patrols of the parking lot and surrounding property . Monitor parking areas for suspicious activity, theft, trespassing, vandalism, and safety concerns. Perform regular patrols of assigned areas and document activity using company procedures. Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security incidents. Assist with de-escalation of customer disputes and other challenging situations. Maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented approach when interacting with customers, employees, and the public. Respond appropriately to security concerns while following company and client procedures. Maintain accurate and detailed incident and daily activity reports. Use a company-issued phone and security applications to document activity and complete required patrols. Work closely with client personnel and local law enforcement when necessary. Follow all company policies, client procedures, and applicable California laws and regulations. Qualifications Valid California BSIS Guard Card. Valid California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit. Valid California Driver's License. Clean driving record. Previous armed security, parking lot patrol, law enforcement, or military experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations. Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions. Basic computer and smartphone skills. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Officers are expected to maintain a professional presence, observe and report security concerns, properly document incidents, de-escalate situations when possible, and request law enforcement assistance when appropriate.
