Iris Protection Services is seeking reliable and professional Event Security Guards to join our team. This is a part-time, event-based role requiring flexibility to work at various event locations throughout San Luis Obispo, depending on scheduling needs. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, customer-focused, and maintain a strong professional presence.

Responsibilities:

Provide a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and event property Maintain a visible presence to deter disturbances or unauthorized activity Monitor access points and enforce event rules and policies Respond promptly and professionally to incidents or emergencies Deliver excellent customer service while assisting guests as needed Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients

Requirements:

Valid California Guard Card (Required) Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout SLO area Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior event security or customer service experience Ability to adapt to different environments and event types
