Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Building Patrol in Santa Ana, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, document observations using available technology, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovative service with Allied Universal.

AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of galleries, exhibit areas, public spaces, offices, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, reporting unusual conditions, facility concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
