Job Description

Armed Security Officer - AM Officer Position Overview We are seeking professional, reliable, and experienced Armed Security Officers to join our team. The role is critical in ensuring the safety of clients, employees, and visitors by maintaining a secure environment, conducting patrols, monitoring premises, and responding effectively to incidents. Officers must exercise sound judgment, remain vigilant, and perform duties in alignment with company, client, and legal standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities :
Maintain a constant state of alertness; remain free of distractions while on duty. Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect unauthorized activity. Enforce company, client, and site-specific policies in a professional manner. Monitor for suspicious, irregular, or unusual activity and report findings promptly. Respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and incidents. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely incident and activity reports. Secure facilities, equipment, and designated areas as directed. Provide courteous assistance to employees, visitors, and customers. Remain at assigned post until properly relieved. Exercise only the level of force necessary, up to and including lethal force, in situations where life is threatened, following all applicable laws, training, and company policy. Support investigations by gathering information, preserving evidence, and assisting supervisors.
Qualifications :
Minimum 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required; higher education or training in criminal justice a plus. Must possess and maintain an Armed Security Officer license/permit in accordance with state requirements. Must supply and maintain a personally owned, approved 9mm firearm. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods. Professional appearance, reliability, and ethical conduct required. Prior law enforcement, military, or armed security experience strongly preferred. Must successfully pass all background checks, drug testing, and required training. Valid driver's license (if position requires vehicle patrol).

Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs). Must be capable of responding rapidly to emergencies.
