A Security Officer provides security for property at hospitals, hotels, warehouses or office buildings. Monitors entrances and patrols buildings, watches for intruders or vandals; reports building maintenance problems; deals with customers or visitors that create a disturbance in the building.

What You Can Expect:
Provide security for short-term special security assignments. Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages due to vacations, call-offs, no shows, suspensions, holidays, etc. Assist in start-ups at new accounts to include working the site, writing post orders and training checklists and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers. Expect to work on weekends and holidays with limited notice, and work during "high need" periods. Patrol assigned site on foot or in vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, and unauthorized persons. Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
Basic Requirements:
18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Above average computer / technology skills needed. Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. Must have a professional demeanor. Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation. All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Reliable transportation and means of communication needed. Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record. CPR, AED, and First aid certifications are a plus but are not needed for every site. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
