Job Description

Sea Colony Recreational , located in Bethany Beach, DE , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Security Officer ! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Conduct regular patrols of the entire property via vehicle, bicycle, and foot to ensure a safe and secure environment. Monitor the site for illegal, suspicious activities, loitering, or disturbances and report them promptly. Monitor the security console, handle telephone duties, and manage two-way radio dispatch communications. Respond immediately and take appropriate action during security, medical, fire, and other emergencies. Perform security, fire prevention, and emergency medical response duties as needed. Assist with traffic and pedestrian control during incidents and community events. Interface in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner with all employees, owners, guests, and vendors. Assist guests with issues, providing directions, and offering a reassuring presence. Maintain positive liaisons with local police, fire, EMS, and other public safety authorities. Complete accurate and detailed daily shift logs, incident reports, and other required documentation. Perform other security-related administrative and clerical functions as assigned. Must possess a valid driver's license. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to function effectively within a team environment. Capability to make sound decisions independently with minimal supervision. High degree of dependability and integrity. Basic computer skills for report writing and data entry. 1+ years of training or experience in security, military, and/or law enforcement. First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the waist. Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist.
