Overnight Security Officer

Overview We are seeking a dependable and professional Overnight Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff within our apartment community. The Overnight Security Officer is responsible for monitoring the property during overnight hours, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, and enforcing community policies. Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of the apartment community, including parking areas, amenities, hallways, and common spaces Monitor property access points and report suspicious activity or unauthorized persons Respond promptly to disturbances, emergencies, and alarm activations Complete detailed incident and activity reports accurately and professionally Assist with noise complaints, and other resident service requests as needed Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, or emergency personnel when necessary Observe and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or property damage Enforce community rules and policies in a professional and respectful manner Maintain a visible presence throughout the property to deter criminal activity and promote resident safety Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous security or customer service experience preferred Strong observation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations Basic computer and report-writing skills Must be able to walk the property for extended periods and work independently Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required Ability to pass background screening and drug test, if applicable Preferred Skills CPR/First Aid certification Experience working in residential or multifamily housing environments Knowledge of emergency response procedures and de-escalation techniques Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and patrol the property for long periods Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Pay:

From $18.00 per hour
