Security Officer - Gated Community (Charlotte County)

Position:

P/T (16 hrs.), Year-round, 8 hr. shifts Sunday and Monday 11:00P - 7:00AM Overview Gated community in Charlotte County is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Officer to staff our main entrance. The ideal candidate is professional, calm under pressure, and able to interact with residents, guests, and vendors in a respectful and friendly manner while enforcing community policies. Responsibilities Monitor and operate surveillance systems Control access to the community by verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity Diffuse difficult situations with tact and professionalism Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary Maintain accurate records and use multiple software applications efficiently Adhere to assigned work schedule, including holidays that occur on scheduled days Requirements Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must maintain a friendly but professional manner at all times.
