Job Description

Position Summary:
Full - Time 11pm - 7am Security in our community is a very important service we provide to our residents. Officer patrols all areas of their assigned location in all weather conditions. Patrols are conducted on foot or in a variety of vehicles. Officer maintains a high code of ethics, moral conduct, confidentiality, and professionalism. Essential Duties Is a very visible employee, greeting residents, family members, staff and guests when they enter the community. May help people into and out of their cars, escorts residents, family members, visitors and staff as needed. Becomes involved with assistance when requested by resident or staff member. Performs preventive patrol or inspectional service on an established schedule to determine that conditions are normal in a given area and to provide a visible deterrent factor. Routinely turning lights off as an energy conservation measure. Checking windows and doors to afford better protection to residents, staff, visitors and to safeguard unoccupied sections of the community. Enforces no access to the property and regulates removal of community equipment and/or supplies or resident's property. Gathers, compiles, records and reports appropriate security information and safety hazards. Responds appropriately to routine and emergency situations in a timely manner and professional manner. Provides traffic control when necessary. May upon direction, receive and assist staff with community deliveries. Schedule is weekends, holidays, and on-call. Hours are 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent (GED) Valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of employment Excellent communication skills and a compassion for older adults
