Job Overview Overnight Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of our Golf & Country Club, screening all residents, visitors and vendors. Overnight shift patrols the entire community, insuring security in all areas. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively, complete written reports and respond to situations as they arise. With a two-person shift, duties alternate between gatehouse entry and rover responsibilities. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to ensure safety protocols are followed. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and any security breaches for management review. Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide assistance during investigations. Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, residents and vendors, addressing their inquiries while maintaining security protocols. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred. Previous experience with gatehouse operation and procedures is required. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security threats. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with the public.
