32803 Communicates and documents Security Officer activities for patrols, postings, and service calls. Answers emergency and non-emergency telephone calls for the Security Operations Center. Monitors fire safety systems and dispatches appropriate resources when alarms are activated. Monitors and dispatches responses to various alarms, including infant abduction, medical gas, and access control alarms. Utilizes Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software to manage calls for service. Monitors cameras using Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) systems and relays information to field responders. Utilizes phone and mass notification systems to inform stakeholders and leadership of significant events. Provides clear, detailed, and concise documentation in computerized ticketing systems. Monitors operators' work performance to ensure adherence to protocols and efficiency. Ensures that routine and emergency calls are answered promptly and dispatched appropriately. Provides on-the-job training and documents progress for new team members. Serves as the point of contact in the absence of the SOC Supervisor and escalates incidents as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of English grammar and spelling [Required]
- Ability to supervise personnel and complete tasks and projects including organization, scheduling, and prioritizing work assignments [Required]
- Good technical computer knowledge and skills including, but not limited to, Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software, CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, etc. with ability to perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting problems [Required]
- Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with professional attitude and verbally communicate and present effectively in a group setting among employees, visitors, and patients [Required]
- Personal qualities which set examples to others on maintaining good interpersonal relationships and professional attitude and conduct [Required]
- Ability to work effectively and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment that includes frequent interruptions, changes in priorities, and under stress [Required]
- High security awareness while maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, visitors, and employees [Required]
- Communications skills must focus on customer service by maintaining proper telephone and radio etiquette [Required]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Field of Study:
N/A Work Experience:
- 1+ of full-time experience in public safety communications or security communications [Required]
- 2+ healthcare security, emergency management, military, fire/rescue, ems, or law enforcement experience with heavy customer contact [Preferred]
- Knowledge and experience in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
