Post specifics: This specific position is for a foot patrol and vehicle patrol officer with a D License. The selectees will work at one site near the RSW airport. The schedules vary through out the week, but will not change after you've been assigned to one. The pay rate for all of these posts is $19/hr. The primary duties include, but are not limited to: Foot patrol, entry control, and vehicle patrol. The selectee for this position tells us when they are available. We won't contact them outside of their availability. It's a perfect position for retired people or someone that needs supplemental income. Possible duties and responsibilities:
Monitor assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises. Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies while following established protocols. Enforce security policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment for all individuals on-site. Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to identify potential security risks. Provide assistance during emergencies. Ability to confront an individual(s) and solicit information from them as to why they are in a restricted area/property. Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during shifts. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure effective incident resolution.
Experience:
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of conflict management techniques and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable. Familiarity with surveillance technology and CCTV operation is an advantage. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse individuals in various situations.
