Job Description
About the Role AK Security Services is seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Lake City, FL. This overnight position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant patrols, monitoring, and clear communication with clients and staff. Responsibilities Patrol assigned property on foot and/or by vehicle during overnight hours Monitor CCTV systems and access points Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies Enforce site-specific policies and procedures Maintain a visible, professional presence to deter unauthorized activity Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary Requirements Must be 18 years or older High school diploma or GED Valid Florida Class D Security License (or ability to obtain prior to start date) Reliable transportation Strong communication and observational skills Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods Ability to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled Clean background check required Preferred Qualifications Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
