This vital role ensures the protection of property, maintains order during overnight hours, and responds swiftly to any incidents or emergencies. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your security expertise in a healthcare setting that values safety, compliance, and exceptional service. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the clinic premises, including patient areas, entrances, exits, and restricted zones to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks. Manage access control systems to verify identities of staff, visitors, contractors, and vendors ensuring only authorized individuals enter sensitive areas. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras continuously to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior or security breaches. Respond promptly to alarms or emergency signals by executing established emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and medical emergencies. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for record-keeping and future reference. Perform background checks on new staff or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security policies. Assist in conflict de-escalation efforts by managing tense situations calmly while maintaining safety for all parties involved. Requirements Proven experience in security roles, preferably within healthcare facilities or similar environments involving physical security and emergency response. Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control procedures, law enforcement protocols, and fire safety regulations. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or emergency situations. Certification in first aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, Taser use (if applicable), and firearm handling where legally permitted. Strong skills in incident report writing, conflict management, and conflict de-escalation techniques to handle challenging situations effectively. Familiarity with emergency response procedures such as fire drills, AED operation, and compliance with security regulations is essential. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with staff, patients, visitors, and law enforcement personnel. Ability to perform patrolling duties diligently during overnight shifts while maintaining alertness throughout extended periods of duty.
