Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, assets, and personnel. This energetic position offers the opportunity to maintain a safe environment through vigilant surveillance, proactive patrols, and exceptional customer service. As a key member of our security operations, you will ensure compliance with security regulations while providing a reassuring presence that promotes safety and order. This paid position is ideal for individuals committed to maintaining high standards of physical security and emergency preparedness. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access Control access points using security protocols and access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors Perform surveillance activities utilizing CCTV cameras and other monitoring tools to ensure ongoing site security Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical emergencies, or conflict situations Write detailed incident reports documenting observations, actions taken, and outcomes for record-keeping and future reference Assist in performing background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security screening processes Support emergency response procedures such as AED operation, CPR, first aid, and fire safety measures when necessary Skills Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and physical security practices Experience with law enforcement procedures or military background is advantageous Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or incident management Skilled in conflict de-escalation and conflict management to resolve issues peacefully and professionally Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks for security clearance Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with staff, visitors, and contractors while maintaining authority and professionalism Knowledge of fire safety protocols, heavy lifting techniques, and compliance with security regulations Capable of patrolling large areas efficiently while maintaining vigilance over multiple points of entry and exit Join us in creating a secure environment where safety is a shared priority!
