Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across various premises, utilizing your law enforcement background, surveillance expertise, and conflict management skills. Your proactive approach will help prevent loss, respond effectively to emergencies, and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to serve in a vital role that combines physical security with strategic oversight. Responsibilities Monitor premises using CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety protocols are followed and identify potential hazards or threats Respond swiftly and appropriately to incidents, including conflicts, emergencies, or security alarms Enforce access control procedures by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, and contractors Apply conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively and professionally Provide first aid or CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to medical emergencies Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring official intervention Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and surveillance records for accountability and review Experience Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is highly desirable Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training will be provided if needed Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring techniques Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security best practices Excellent observation skills combined with the ability to respond decisively when required Valid security license or certification as mandated by local regulations is a plus Join us in safeguarding our community with energy, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence.
