Security Guard

Job Description

Ambassador Personnel is seeking a dependable and security-minded night shift Facility Security Guard to help maintain the safety, security, and integrity of a facility following the cessation of manufacturing operations. This position will play an important role in protecting company property, equipment, inventory, and infrastructure throughout the facility closure process. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, dependable, and comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Control access to the facility and verify authorization of employees, contractors, and visitors. Conduct routine security patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing. Protect company assets from theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized removal. Monitor security systems, gates, alarms, and other site security measures. Identify and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, security vulnerabilities, and unusual conditions. Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents. Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and shift documentation. Communicate and coordinate with facility management, contractors, and law enforcement when necessary. Enforce established site access and security procedures. Assist with preserving the facility, equipment, and infrastructure during the closure process. Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activity. Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, manufacturing, industrial, or facility operations preferred. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with limited supervision. Strong observation and situational-awareness skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to accurately document incidents and maintain detailed security reports. Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to confidentiality and integrity. Ability to respond calmly and appropriately during emergencies.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk extensive distances throughout the facility and surrounding grounds. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb stairs and conduct routine facility inspections. Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the assigned shift.
