Job Skills / Requirements Per Mar is hiring for a full-time college campus security officer in Mt. Vernon. This is a 2nd shift position, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Wednesday - Sunday. 40 hours-per week at $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old. Possess a valid driver's license, with a driving record that meets company policy. Eligible to obtain a security license for the State of Iowa, with no disqualifying criminal convictions. Ability to handle physical nature of the position. Must be able to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and be outdoors in all weather conditions. Must submit to the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, driving report, and criminal background investigation .

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Monitor campus property to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Address violations of campus policies & regulations. Perform rounds examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security. Answer calls for service from faculty, staff, and students. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. All newly hired officers must attend an orientation/training at our Cedar Rapids office.
