This flexible, as-needed position offers you the opportunity to apply your security expertise across various settings, ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets. Your proactive approach and commitment to excellence will help foster a secure atmosphere for all. Duties Conduct thorough foot or mobile vehicle patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches. Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, and contractors. Perform surveillance using CCTV systems to observe and document activities within the premises. Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats. Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any occurrences or security concerns encountered during shifts. Assist with performing background checks on visitors or vendors as required to ensure compliance with security policies. Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to resolve disputes peacefully and professionally. Operate emergency response equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and fire extinguishers when necessary. Support loss prevention efforts (where applicable) by monitoring for theft or vandalism and implementing appropriate preventative measures. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring external assistance. Skills Proven experience in physical security, law enforcement, or military roles with a strong understanding of security protocols. Customer Service skills preferred over security experience. Proficiency in surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems. Knowledge of emergency response procedures, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent incident report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals. Familiarity with performing background checks and conducting thorough security screenings. Skilled in conflict de-escalation techniques and managing difficult situations professionally. Understanding of compliance with security regulations and legal requirements related to physical security operations.
