Security Officer

EVENT SECURITY STAFF.

Cerberus Security is a West Michigan based company that is growing rapidly in the event/music festival space across the country. Currently licensed in 15 states, we are seeking to expand our team for an upcoming event in the Chillicothe, IL area from May 21st - May 24th. These positions are perfect for individuals that are retired or have summers off, and anyone looking to supplement their income. Ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and event attendees. This role requires a proactive approach to security with superior customer service at its core. Shift times and duration vary. Responsibilities may include Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises. Perform crowd control, vehicle searches, bag searches, check ID, and utilize handheld metal detectors. Conduct regular foot patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Respond promptly to emergency situations. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies. Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively. Assist in general security efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing security measures. Experience Previous experience in security, law enforcement, EMS, or military service is beneficial. Possess strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Those with backgrounds in management, customer service, and administration are encouraged to apply. Requirements Must have a valid and current Illinois Security PERC card. All candidates must be able to physically perform the tasks required for all positions, such as standing or walking continuously for a 12-hour shift and be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs. Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including constant sun and heat. Must be able to pass a drug test. State law requires all security officers be over the age of 18 and pass a criminal background check. Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
