WHAT DO SCHOOL SAFETY OFFICERS DO?
Your Key Responsibilities include: +
Ensure Campus Safety:
Maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors across campus. +
Support Student Well-Being:
Monitor student behavior and support everyday safety during school operations and activities. +
Respond & Protect:
Address and resolve security concerns or incidents at your assigned building and other district facilities as needed.

School-Year Schedule:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
+ High School graduate or GED equivalent. + Active or retired law enforcement officer in good standing with prior agency and the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board ( ILETSB ). + Ability to obtain and maintain any licenses, certifications, training, or qualifications required for assigned responsibilities. + Ability to successfully complete criminal background checks and other employment screenings required by law and District policy.
