As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Harrisburg, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, grounds, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying throughout the educational location. Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help deter unauthorized entry, suspicious behavior, theft, vandalism, and/or other policy violations. Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, company policy, and site-specific procedures.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
