Duties Conduct regular patrols of designated areas using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches. Manage access control systems to verify identities, authorize entry, and maintain logs of visitors, contractors, and employees. Respond swiftly to emergency situations by executing established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy. Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors as part of the screening process to ensure compliance with security policies. Operate firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other security equipment following safety protocols and legal regulations. Engage in conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining a professional demeanor. Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or securing premises. Execute emergency response procedures such as CPR, first aid administration, and AED operation to assist injured individuals effectively. Monitor CCTV footage for suspicious activity using surveillance technology like CCTV cameras and other electronic security systems. Perform thorough security checks including heavy lifting tasks and physical inspections to uphold safety standards across the site. Qualifications Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security roles with a focus on physical security operations. Valid certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and firearm handling is required; additional certifications such as Taser use are advantageous. Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV monitoring and access control systems. Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive incident reports accurately and promptly. Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Physical fitness capable of performing manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged patrolling activities. Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and medical assistance techniques.
