Security Officer - General Motors Join Inter-Con Security at General Motors Inter-Con Security is hiring professional and dependable Unarmed Security Officers to support security operations at a General Motors facility . In this role, you'll help protect employees, visitors, property, and operations while maintaining a professional and highly visible security presence. What You'll Do As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting General Motors operations, your responsibilities may include: Maintain a professional and visible security presence Monitor entrances, exits, and controlled access points Verify authorized access for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols Monitor facility activity and identify suspicious or unauthorized behavior Inspect assigned areas for security risks, safety concerns, and unsafe conditions Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic as assigned Inspect inbound and outbound packages or materials as required Respond appropriately to alarms, security incidents, medical situations, and other emergencies Assist with emergency response and evacuation procedures Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs Communicate security concerns to supervisors and appropriate personnel Protect and secure incident scenes when necessary Follow established security procedures and post orders Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests Minimum Qualifications Candidates must: Have a High School Diploma or GED Meet all applicable security licensing and certification requirements Be able to successfully complete required background and pre-employment screenings Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Demonstrate strong judgment, professionalism, and attention to detail Be able to work independently and as part of a security team Be comfortable responding to security incidents and emergency situations Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position Additional qualifications may apply based on the specific General Motors assignment.
