Must be able to perform the following functions to include but not limited to: Monitor and respond to troubleshooting and test alarm events, assess alarms, and appropriately respond or report to Field Technicians, System Administrator, and Physical Security. Dispatch repair and maintenance technicians to troubled alarm events in order of priority. Track, make log entries of all repair efforts, and report all troubled or off normal accounts to site supervisor at the end of the shift. Assist field technicians in all troubleshooting and repair efforts as necessary. Notify site supervisor if work load increases to a point of a backlog of customers waiting longer than 10 minutes or unable to respond to test or trouble shooting alarms. Additional duties Alarm monitors must possess StarWatch SMS Monitoring Operator certification by DAQ. This position is considered a weather/emergency essential position. Alarm Monitors shall be required to have a Secret security clearance, Information Assurance (IA) Requirements and annual criminal records check conducted by the Government.
