Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents. The Security Officer will utilize various security measures and technologies to ensure the safety of the property. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities on the premises. Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify potential security risks or hazards. Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility. Provide assistance during incidents involving conflict management or loss prevention. Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and activities for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary during investigations or emergencies. Maintain certifications in CPR, First Aid, and other relevant training programs. Qualifications Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required. Knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies is a plus. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must possess valid CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification upon hire. High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is advantageous.
