School Security Job Summary:

The School Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors at the school. This includes monitoring school grounds, enforcing school policies, and responding to security incidents as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Patrol school grounds to deter and detect unauthorized individuals or activities Secure campus facilities and perimeter Respond to security incidents and emergencies Monitor parking, crosswalks and foot traffic De-escalation of on-campus incidents and coordination with medical and safety services, as needed Provide security at after-hours events as needed Written Incidents Reports and Daily Activity Reports so security information is maintained/recorded

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in school security required Knowledge of security protocols and procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods
