As a Security Officer Facility Access Driver in Sulphur, LA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage badge access, monitor entry points, support visitor processing, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location. Control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor or contractor documentation in accordance with site requirements. Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate access logs, issue and collect visitor badges or access credentials, and report discrepancies to site leadership. Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, designated areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. Possess at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
