Job Description
Position Summary Under Watch Protective Services is seeking professional and dependable Unarmed Construction Site Security Officers to protect construction projects, equipment, materials, and personnel. Officers are responsible for maintaining a secure environment, preventing unauthorized access, documenting incidents, and ensuring site rules are followed. This position requires strong observation skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently during both day and overnight shifts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Monitor and secure construction sites during assigned shifts. Control access points and verify authorization of all visitors, contractors, and vendors. Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols throughout the property. Observe for suspicious activity, trespassing, theft, vandalism, or safety hazards. Protect construction equipment, tools, machinery, and building materials. Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports using company reporting software. Enforce site-specific rules and safety protocols. Report emergencies, accidents, property damage, and suspicious activity immediately. Coordinate with site management, law enforcement, and emergency services when necessary. Ensure all gates, fences, and access points remain secure. Monitor deliveries and document after-hours activity. Respond professionally to disturbances and conflicts while maintaining a calm demeanor. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a background check. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response. Must possess a smartphone capable of running company reporting software. Preferred Qualifications Prior security, military, law enforcement, or construction site experience. Experience with access control and patrol operations. CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred but not required). Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to patrol uneven terrain and construction environments. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds when necessary. Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift. Work Environment Construction sites may include: Active construction zones Residential developments Commercial construction projects Renovation and demolition sites Outdoor and indoor work environments Expectations Security Officers are expected to: Arrive on time and in full uniform. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Follow all company policies and site procedures. Complete all required reports before the end of each shift. Represent Under Watch Protective Services in a professional manner at all times.
