This role combines active foot patrols, facility logging, property upkeep, and customer-focused escort services. Security reports directly to the manager on duty during their shift and must communicate any disturbances and/or actions taken to patrol the property as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities On-Site Patrol & Deterrence:

Completes a full foot patrol of the licensed premise [X] per shift to deter unauthorized activity, monitor access points, and ensure compliance with site safety policies.

Property Upkeep:

Perform ongoing litter abatement throughout the licensed premise, picking up trash, removing minor debris, and reporting property damage or hazardous conditions.

Logging & Reporting:

Maintain an accurate, real-time security log detailing shift activities, incident reports, safety hazards, and patrol completion times.

Incident Response & De-escalation:

Handle low-level disturbances using calm de-escalation tactics, reporting severe emergency situations immediately to local authorities.

• Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Active state security guard registration/license. Ability to stand and walk across the entire premise for extended periods in varying conditions. Physical capability to perform light manual labor (bending, lifting up to 30 lbs for trash removal). Strong interpersonal communication, customer service, and conflict de-escalation skills. High attention to detail with accurate record-keeping abilities. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. Must be able to follow all Firebrand policies, SOPs, and applicable Massachusetts cannabis regulations.

What Success Looks Like Consistent Vigilance:

All required patrol rounds are completed on schedule, and security logs are logged accurately and thoroughly.

Clean & Safe Environment:

The licensed premise remains visibly free of debris and hazards throughout every shift.

Positive Presence:

Staff, tenants, and visitors express feeling safe and supported, specifically citing professional and helpful escort interactions.

Proactive Prevention:

Potential safety or security risks are identified and de-escalated or reported before escalating into larger issues.

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
