Job Details:
Performs general law enforcement duties in the protection of persons and property; enforcing applicable policies, rules and regulations of Cambridge Health Alliance and applicable federal, state and local laws, to prevent losses due to accidents and incidents. Investigates crimes and other violations of Massachusetts laws and ordinances. Makes arrests and sets up appropriate complaints for the courts for those in violation of the law. Assists in the escorting of deceased patients. Observe and detain patients who are in crisis and deemed in need of special services. Investigates individuals or situations that appear to be of a suspicious nature. Provides safety escorts as needed Provides for the safety and security of all patients, visitors and staff.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or two years of prior law enforcement experience, or two years of military experience with an honorable discharge. One year prior experience in security, loss prevention and/or criminal justice. Basic knowledge of security and law enforcement practices. Able to produce concise, accurate and well written reports. Able to work independently or as part of a team Possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts drivers license. CPR Certificate/First Responder Certificate All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical agility test.
