As an unarmed Hospital Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and communication. You will respond to routine incidents, assist with de-escalation and restraint situations as trained, and use technology to document activity while working collaboratively with hospital teams.

AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout assigned hospital areas, including entrances, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter locations. Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel. Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and hospital representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements. Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred. CPR certification preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
