The officer will support campus security during scheduled facility use, programs, rentals, events, and other assigned coverage periods. The position involves maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring access and facility activity, supporting parking and vehicle flow, conducting routine security checks, responding appropriately to alarms or security concerns, and helping ensure the property remains secure and established site rules are followed. This position is well suited for someone who is reliable, observant, comfortable working independently, and able to interact professionally with client personnel, families, visitors, coaches, and other authorized facility users. Schedule This is a part-time school-year assignment beginning with fall coverage in September . From September through November , the schedule includes recurring weekend coverage, select evening assignments, and additional shifts associated with scheduled campus programs, rentals, and events. Beginning in December , the assignment transitions into a more active and consistent winter schedule. Winter and spring coverage typically includes recurring Saturday and Sunday shifts, weekday evening assignments, and other scheduled coverage periods based on campus activity. The assignment is expected to continue through the spring and approximately through the end of the school year. Exact days, shift lengths, and weekly hours may vary based on the campus schedule and client needs. Candidates should have strong weekend availability and flexibility for weekday evening assignments . Additional hours at other NxtGen Security client locations may also be available based on performance, availability, and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Maintain a professional, visible, and attentive security presence Monitor access to assigned buildings and facilities and help ensure access is limited to authorized individuals and groups Monitor scheduled facility activity and help ensure established site rules and procedures are followed Maintain awareness of entrances, access points, parking areas, and assigned interior and exterior areas Support orderly parking, vehicle flow, and designated arrival and drop-off periods Conduct routine security checks of assigned buildings, facilities, and surrounding areas Remain alert for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, disturbances, safety concerns, property issues, or other unusual conditions Address access, parking, and facility-use concerns calmly and professionally Respond appropriately to alarms, security concerns, and other incidents in accordance with established procedures Help ensure assigned buildings and facilities remain secure during and following scheduled use Communicate professionally with client personnel, visitors, families, coaches, and authorized facility users Complete clear and accurate digital shift reports and promptly communicate significant concerns to NxtGen Security management Maintain confidentiality regarding client operations and site-specific security information Qualifications Successful candidates should demonstrate: Strong reliability and punctuality Professional appearance, demeanor, and communication Good judgment and situational awareness Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and remain attentive throughout the shift Confidence addressing concerns respectfully and professionally Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills Ability to follow written post orders and verbal instructions Clear and professional written communication skills Prior security experience is preferred but not required for an otherwise qualified candidate.
