Position Summary:

We are seeking a professional and experienced Community Liaison Security Officer to serve as a visible presence at National Harbor. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment while acting as a point of contact between the public, staff, and security management. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience managing people and situations in high-traffic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide a strong, visible security presence throughout the property Serve as a liaison between visitors, tenants, and security management Monitor and control large crowds to ensure safety and order Give clear directions and assist guests with questions or concerns Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies De-escalate conflicts using professionalism and sound judgment Enforce property rules, policies, and procedures Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs Supervise and guide team members when necessary

Qualifications:

Previous managerial or supervisory experience required Proven ability to manage and control large crowds in public settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Professional appearance and demeanor Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior security, law enforcement or public safety experience Experience working in high-traffic areas such as entertainment venues, retail centers, or events CPR/First Aid certification

Handcuff Certification Baton Certification OC Spray Certification Work Environment:

Outdoor and indoor patrols in a busy, high-traffic tourist destination Prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting Fast-paced environment requiring constant awareness Licenses Maryland security guard certification. Handcuff Certification Baton Certification OC Spray Certification Work history/Experience required Two years security officer experience Able to pass a drug screening

Full Time/ Part Time Unarmed Maryland Security Guard Shifts Available:

Evenings and Overnights Work Remotely No Job Types:
