Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct onsite teams of 3-5 low voltage technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards Manage daily project tasks to meet deadlines and stay within budget Oversee and perform installation, termination, dressing, and labeling of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling Conduct cable testing using industry-standard equipment (Fluke or similar) Punch down voice and data jacks, ensuring secure and reliable connections Install and terminate racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, workstation outlets, and firestopping materials Interpret and work from blueprints, system layouts, and technical drawings Safely operate ladders and lifts of all sizes (must be comfortable working at heights) Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site as neededRequirements:
5+ years of hands-on commercial or industrial low voltage experience Experience with structured cabling and electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems Proven experience leading crews or supervising installation teams Strong working knowledge of telecom and data network infrastructure BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications highly preferred Manufacturer certifications are a plus Must possess basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Willingness to travel to job sites within the DMV area as needed Why Work with Next Level Technician in Millersville Maryland?Weekly Pay:
