This position is a working level Security Officer who actively works onsite, securing school's buildings/properties, school staff, and students, as well as locating and deterring suspicious activities while providing a safe and secure learning environment for all campus personnel. The school Security Officer is held to a high standard of physical and mental capabilities to ensure the students, parents, and staff are protected. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Work to ensure the assigned premises and/or people are kept safe and secure Work closely and cooperatively with staff at assigned premises to ensure they are safe and secure React and respond quickly to dangerous/hazardous situations Monitor assigned location with high degree of attentiveness to surroundings Communicate effectively to site team using assigned radio Identify and correct inefficiencies, liabilities, and safety hazards at work sites Utilize the company's current scheduling and approving her/his weekly hours for payroll Provide detailed information to authorities as needed Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management
