Canton, MI.JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES
As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Officers will conduct foot and vehicle patrols dependent on the site location.Additional responsibilities may include:
Access Control:
Ensure that only invited guests and vendors are allowed on site. Foot Patrol - Hourly patrols on property monitoring the exterior of the property maintaining the safety of the occupants and guests. Confidentiality and Professionalism - Maintaining an extreme amount of confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with clients and guests at all times. Must provide excellent customer service when dealing with Clients, Customers, Co-Workers, etc. Monitor surroundings on closed-circuit television. Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas. Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities. May provide first aid or other medical treatment in emergency situations. May operate x-ray and/or metal detection equipment where the equipment is deployed. Must follow site specific post guidelines. Will report potentially hazardous conditions and items in need of repair including lighting, plumbing, wet floors, etc. Document daily activities and incident reports. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED, perMCL 338.1067
§17(2) . Must be able to pass a drug screening at the time of hire and randomly thereafter (including for marijuana). Since our company contracts with the federal government, we must comply to federal laws regarding the use of marijuana, regardless of whether it is used recreationally or medicinally. Must not have been convicted of any felonies, perMCL 338.1060
§10(1)(c) . Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses, perMCL 338.1060
§10(1)(c). Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary). Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio. Must be able to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training. Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude. Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.Note:
