Responsibilities Conduct routine patrols of the facility by physical inspections to identify potential security breaches or hazards. Control access points utilizing access control systems, verifying identities, and performing background checks on visitors or contractors as needed. Respond swiftly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and first aid assistance. Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy. Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved. Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary to provide immediate aid. Perform heavy lifting or manual handling tasks during patrols or incident responses while adhering to safety regulations and proper techniques. Skills Background in military or law enforcement with experience in physical security operations. Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures. Proficient in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity. Skilled in conflict management, conflict de-escalation, and customer service to handle challenging situations professionally. Ability to perform background checks and enforce compliance with security regulations effectively. Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safety standards.
