Job Description
New Paths, Inc. (NPI) is a growing residential treatment facility with a full continuum of treatment services for individuals with substance use disorders. We are hiring PT Security. This is an unarmed security position.

Security Supervisor Job Summary:
The Residential Security position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring the facility, responding to incidents, and supporting staff and clients as needed.Supervisory Responsibilities:
None Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain security of the NPI facilities Support and adhere to the NPI Code of Ethics, work rules, policies, plans and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for the residents, visitors and employees of New Paths. Perform all security related duties such as: Respond to investigation of triggered alarms. Respond to staff requests for support. Monitor activities via video-cameras. Other related activities. Consistently conduct physical and/or unclothed searches as clients enter or re-enter the facility. Obtain visitor sign in signatures and maintain log. Provides guidance in the absence of the Security Supervisor. The point of contact for all staff when Supervisors and Managers are unavailable. Must be able to perform all duties as follows: Monitor client activity at assigned poste in accordance with the guidelines prescribed in the New Paths policies and procedures. Execute job duties with a high priority on professionalism, client and staff safety and accountability. Work toward establishing a calm and supportive environment which promotes positive behaviors and health initiative. Communicate clearly and consistently the client's activities as needed in the online log, RMS, shift notes, broadcast and/or email as appropriate. Communicate clearly and consistently any violations through the RMS system under "enter a write-up" Communicate legibly and clearly any incidents to clients, staff and/or visitors through the documented incident reporting process within 24 hours. Maintain clear and accurate completion of daily, weekly and/or monthly checklists. Document and monitor client departures from and returns to the facility in accordance with the guidelines prescribed in the New Paths policies and procedures. Provide both written and verbal daily feedback to incoming shift on all relevant shift occurrences. Conduct roll calls as scheduled and randomly when indicated or directed. Escort clients to and from all scheduled activities, such as meals and smoke breaks when covering for a RA/CT position. Conduct room searches in accordance with the documented guidelines. Conduct physical searches, including unclothed searches when indicated, according to agency policy and procedure. Check client rooms daily for cleanliness and direct residents to corrective action if needed. Check assigned daily work projects are completed by clients on each shift. Participate in regular mandatory team supervision, meetings and trainings. Work as a coordinated team member alongside all staff members. Verify client wrist bands on every shift Performs any other duties assigned by Security Supervisor.Qualifications:
Demonstrate clear and concise writing skills. Skill in communicating with a variety of people from varying backgrounds. Knowledge of Genesee County Criminal Justice and Human Service Delivery Systems.(Preferred)Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Two years' experience in Human Services and/or Associates Degree in related field (Preferred) Experience in a residential setting or human service program. (Preferred) Knowledge of substance use disorder dynamics and treatment methods. (Preferred) Documented supervisory experience (Preferred) Security guard experience (Preferred).Physical Requirements:
Periods of sitting at a desk, within a professional office setting. Frequent computer keyboard use. Must be able to walk up and down stairs and long distances frequently.
