GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Judge, Court Administrator, and Chief Court Officer, the candidate will perform duties related to ensuring the safety of staff and general public. Job duties will include but are not limited to covering the main security station, screening all court participants before entering the courtroom, maintain a swift and orderly disposition while greeting and directing the general public, interpret and respond to disruptive scenarios quickly, maintain security and order in the lobby and building. A typical workweek is Thursday & Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate should have prior experience in police work, security, corrections, or related field. Must be able to work independently and be able to direct individuals in a polite, assertive manner. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must pass a pre-employment criminal/civil background check and drug screening. Must have a CPL and be able to become firearm and Taser certified. Employees will be fingerprinted.
