Delta Force PI is pleased to provide Security Services at Billerud in Quinnesec, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to join our professional security team and become certified on the job in various skills. We are hiring several security positions for an unarmed security team for 24/7 coverage. The Security or Emergency Response Team will include varying skill levels, including Plant Protection Officers (PPOs), Emergency Medical Technicians holding state EMT certifications (EMT-B) or Medical First Responder (MFR) certifications. This is an excellent opportunity to gain paid certification training in various skills, with pay increases upon successful advancement to each level. Part-time and full-time positions available. Unarmed Security Officers for full-time and Part-time assignments in Quinnesec, MI. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a clean background check. Prior experience preferred but not required. Good judgment, dependability, and professionalism are key. Excellent opportunity for criminal justice majors, military vets, correction officers, and/or prior law enforcement, college students, or anyone qualified and motivated to fill this important security function. Must be physically capable of working outside in all weather conditions for walking patrol tours at times along with access control and data entry in various computer applications indoors.
DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES
Perform access control and patrols of designated areas on foot, vehicle, or golf cart. Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Warn violators of safety infractions and enforce all safety and security requirements. Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner A. Pre-employment drug screenings, background checks, and Motor Vehicle Report B. Health assessments for participation in Respiratory Protection Program, Fire Brigade, HAZMAT team, rescue. C.
Physical / Education
/ Abilities. PPP shall have the following qualifications: 1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. Valid driver's license (with Motor Vehicle Report meeting contractor minimum standards). 3. Be physically capable of the following: Stand or walk with minimum rest for an entire 12 hours. Climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks, etc. Enter confined space area through hatches designated for human access Physical ability to wear a SCBA and perform assigned duties as required for fire, hazmat, and/or rescue. Don SCBA wearing full turnout gear and arm a pass device Raise and safely climb a standard fire ladder. Pick up and carry two full water extinguishers up 2 flights of stairs without stopping. Drag a rescue dummy 50 ft. Advance a 2 ½" hose line for 150 Ft. Crawl through a 36" diameter tube. Walk around the training site 400 ft. 4. The physical ability of all PPP certified in fire protection will be witnessed not less than once every three years and will take place during the Fire Brigade SCBA training drill. 5. The proper interpersonal skills to deal effectively and appropriately with people while maintaining a customer focus. 6. The ability to read, write, understand, and speak the English language fluently. Must be capable of effective communication, both oral and written.
