Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Part-time Security Officer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, visitors, and assets through proactive surveillance, incident management, and adherence to security protocols. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and a passion for safety and security. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the importance of your contribution to our organization's safety. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards using CCTV systems and physical inspections Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors Respond promptly to emergency situations following established procedures, including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or concerns with clarity and accuracy Enforce security regulations while managing conflicts through de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills Requirements Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or incident response Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and fire safety is beneficial. Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations Excellent communication skills to write comprehensive incident reports and interact professionally with staff and visitors Physical fitness to stand, walk, patrol extensively, and perform physical security duties effectively Join us in creating a secure environment where safety meets exceptional service!
