Represents Department & Organization in a professional manner, as needed, both internally and externally. May assist with complaint resolutions and maintains professional attitude and behavior. Promotes a safe and secure environment by patrolling the buildings and grounds. Provides professional coordination by scheduling and organizing activities of security officers. Responds to emergencies in a prompt and professional manner. Assists in restraining or controlling combative patients and visitors. Completes written reports of all incidents; assists police department with investigations on hospital premises. Investigation and follow-up on all reported security-related events reports (Quantros), Interviews applicants and makes recommendations to the Director. Attends daily medical unit staffing meetings to identify safety or security issues. Maintains communication and rapport with hospital Leaders with key contacts being medical unit Leader, Educators, and House Supervisors. Maintains communication and rapport with area Law Enforcement Leaders. Conducts presentations and training while promoting cross-training for FT Officers. Maintains various supplies and records for the Security Dept. An individual must have one-year verifiable security or law enforcement experience. This is a uniformed and armed position that requires certification in MO. We are seeking someone who has excellent customer service skills and is a team player. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED for this position An annual influenza vaccination is required.
