We are looking for individuals who are disciplined, courteous, observant, and high in integrity. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for protecting clients, employees, visitors, and property while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This position requires regular parking lot and property patrols, monitoring for suspicious or criminal activity, preventing theft and vandalism, enforcing property rules, and responding appropriately to incidents and emergencies. The ideal candidate will maintain a professional presence, demonstrate sound judgment, communicate effectively, and remain calm when handling security-related situations. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of assigned property and parking areas. Monitor entrances, exits, vehicles, visitors, and other activity on the property. Help prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized access. Identify and report suspicious activity or safety concerns. Remove or address trespassers in accordance with company procedures and applicable law. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergencies. Contact law enforcement or emergency services when necessary. Monitor surveillance cameras when assigned. Maintain a visible and professional security presence. Provide professional customer service to clients and visitors. Complete accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports. Follow all Woodard's Protection Services and client-site policies and procedures. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older. Must possess a current and valid Armed Security Guard Permit/License required to work armed security in Mississippi. Must be legally authorized to possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties. Must have a valid government-issued ID. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to pass required background screening. Must be dependable and report to assigned shifts on time. Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Must possess strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills. Previous armed security, military, or law-enforcement experience is preferred but not required.
