Job Description

Job Summary :
Provide operational supervision to a team of armed and unarmed security personnel. Respond to calls for service providing leadership using established policies and procedures. Resolve conflicts by providing outstanding customer service. Perform initial investigations on all incidents, allegations of criminal activity, misconduct and policy violations. Ensure staffing is adequate to cover required posts, coordinating breaks and relief as required. Responsible for training new personnel assigned to shift in accordance with established department training policies. Assume responsibility of Supervisor in his/her absence.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years of related experience. Demonstrate the ability and aptitude to handle high value tasks during the preceding tenure at CaroMont Health. Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA standards. Within 90 days of hire, must complete NC PPS Unarmed and Armed Security Officer Training, to include firearms training, with a score of 80% or more on all written and field evaluations. Ability to think and work effectively under stress to deal tactfully with patients, visitors, and hospital employees in diverse situations. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to properly prepare reports related to assigned duties in a timely manner. Ability to take charge and provide leadership to staff, during emergency situations. Experience with security systems and technology. Intermediate PC skills.
