Food & Beverage / Restaurant Security Lyon Shield Security is currently seeking dependable, professional, and highly observant Armed Security Officers for food and beverage location in the area. This is an active, high-visibility security position. Officers assigned to these locations are expected to remain alert, engaged, and visible throughout their shift. This is not a position where officers remain seated or stationed inside a patrol vehicle for extended periods. The primary responsibility of the Armed Security Officer is to help maintain a safe and orderly environment for employees, customers, and property while providing professional security presence and responding appropriately to disturbances or safety concerns. Primary Responsibilities Maintain a professional, visible security presence throughout the assigned location. Monitor customer activity and identify potential safety or security concerns. Regularly patrol interior and exterior areas, including parking lots, entrances, rear doors, dumpster areas, and other designated areas. Help maintain crowd control and orderly customer and vehicle flow. Address unauthorized persons, loitering, and individuals who have completed their business but remain on the property. Use professional verbal de-escalation techniques when addressing disruptive or confrontational individuals. Contact law enforcement or emergency services when circumstances require it. Observe and report suspicious activity, unsafe conditions, disturbances, threats, property damage, and other incidents. Complete required Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, photographs, and other documentation using Lyon Shield Security's electronic reporting systems. Remain on the assigned property for the entire scheduled shift unless properly relieved or directed by Lyon Shield management. Maintain all required licensing, certifications, uniforms, and duty equipment. Follow all Lyon Shield Security policies, site-specific Post Orders, and client procedures. The underlying post orders specifically emphasize professionalism, courtesy, visibility, remaining on premises, proper uniform appearance, de-escalation, reporting, and maintaining required qualifications. Must possess or be eligible to obtain the appropriate North Carolina PPSB armed security registration. Must meet all applicable requirements to lawfully carry a firearm while performing armed security duties. Must successfully complete Lyon Shield Security's hiring and onboarding requirements. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a reliable smartphone for company scheduling, communication, and reporting applications. Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in person and in writing. Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods. Must be available to work the assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays depending on assignment. Prior security, military, law enforcement, corrections, loss prevention, hospitality security, or related experience is preferred. Important - This Is an Active Post Officers assigned to this account are expected to see and be seen. The position requires regular movement and active observation. Officers may be required to remain near entrances during periods of high customer volume, conduct exterior patrols when conditions permit, monitor parking areas, and assist with maintaining orderly customer flow. The post orders specifically prohibit leaving the premises, sitting in a vehicle, remaining inactive, escalating situations, ignoring unsafe behavior, or failing to report incidents. Professional Conduct Our officers are security professionals first. The goal is to prevent problems whenever possible—not create them. Officers are expected to communicate respectfully, maintain professional body language, listen, keep a safe distance when appropriate, and attempt verbal de-escalation before a situation becomes more serious when circumstances allow. Officers should never unnecessarily argue with, insult, threaten, provoke, or physically confront customers. When circumstances rise to the appropriate level, officers are expected to immediately request assistance from law enforcement rather than unnecessarily escalating the encounter.
