Overview We are a boutique hotel in Highlands, NC seeking a nighttime security guard for weekends and holidays. This role is to ensure the safety and peace of mind for our hotel guests. Hours are typically 11pm-5am on Friday and Saturday, with the opportunity for more hours during high season. Responsibilities Monitor hotel premises and walk the property regularly. Conduct regular patrols of all hotel areas, including entrances, hallways, parking lots, and service zones to ensure guests are quiet and safe. Manage access control by verifying guest identities and authorizations for entry during night hours. Enforce hotel policies related to loss prevention, conflict management, and guest safety with professionalism and tact. Qualifications Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred. Knowledge of conflict management techniques and the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively. Familiarity with loss prevention strategies. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with guests, staff, and emergency responders. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk long distances within the hotel premises, and remain alert throughout overnight shifts.
