PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized entry. Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report access concerns according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation. Maintain awareness of assigned areas and equipment, communicate professionally with facility personnel and law enforcement as needed, and prepare accurate activity and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid armed guard card or license. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
